BGX Tournament Rules

1v1 Tournaments

  • Super Smash Bros Ultimate - Nintendo Switch

    • Saturday, July 27th @ 1:00 PM

    • 1v1, double elimination

    • $10 buy-in fee, If odd number of competitors, assign a random bye per round (a single competitor cannot be assigned more than one bye per tournament)

      • 1st, 2nd and 3rd place will split the $500 cash prize

        • 1st - $300

        • 2nd - $150

        • 3rd - $50​

  • Mario Kart 8 Deluxe - Nintendo Switch

    • Saturday, July 27th @ 7:00 PM

    • $10-buy in fee, 1st place will receive half the prize money

      • 2nd and 3rd place will receive medals.

    • Players will compete 1v1, single elimination (If more than 40 players enter, players will compete 4 player, top two moving on)

    • Players will have 1 minute to select their player and kart

    • Levels will be randomly selected, 150 CC

    • Best of 2 races (3rd race if tie)

    • If odd number of competitors, assign a random bye per round (a single competitor cannot be assigned more than one bye per tournament)

    • Character Restrictions: Players will not be allowed to use any of the gold plated variants (include Gold Mario, the gold kart, glider or wheels)​​

Verses Tournaments

​​

  • Area 51 - Retro Shooter

    • Saturday, July 27th @ 1:00 PM

    • Awards for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place.

    • Players will complete head-to-head the first statge of Area 51.

    • The player with the highest score of the first level will move to the next round.

    • Players will continue until a final winner is crowned with the highest score.​

  • Guitar Hero 3: Battle Mode - PS2

    • Saturday, July 27th @ 1:30 PM

    • Awards for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place.

    • Players will complete in Battle Mode (1v1)

    • Round 1 difficulty will start at MEDIUM, Round 2 at HARD and Round 3 + EXPERT.

    • Winner of each game set will move to the next round.

  • Pokemon Stadium: Kid's Club - Nintendo 64

    • Saturday, July 27th @ 2:30 PM

    • Players will compete in a 4-player match up with the Kid's Club mini games from Pokemon Stadium.

    • The first 2 players to reach 3 wins per set will move to the next round.

    • The final round of 4 players will compete for 3 wins. 

    • Awards will be given to the first three players to complete 3 wins.

  • Halo - Xbox

    • Saturday, July 27th @ 4 PM

    • Awards for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place

    • 1v1, single elminiation

  • Rocket League - Xbox One

    • Saturday, July 27th @ 4:30 PM

    • Awards for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place

    • 1v1, single elimination

    • 2 minute customization time

    • 5 minute match, split screen

    • if odd number of competitors, assign a random bye per round (a single competitor cannot be assigned more than one bye per tournament)

    • Saturday, July 27th @ 4 PM

    • Awards for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place

    • 1v1, single elimination

High Score Tournaments

  • Princess Peach: Showtime! Swordsman Challenage - Nintendo Switch

    • Saturday, July 27th @ 12:00 PM

    • Highest scores win 1st, 2nd and 3rd place

    • Players will play through the swordfighter challenge. The player who destroys the most enemies before getting hit will win.

    • Each player will be given two chances to get thier highest score possible.​

  • Tetris - Nintendo Switch

    • Saturday, July 27th @ 5:00 PM

    • Highest scores win 1st, 2nd and 3rd place

    • Players will complete in a 3-minute time limit Tetris match.

  • Spyro the Dragon: Flight Challenge - PSX

    • Saturday, July 27th @ 5:00 PM

    • Highest scores win 1st, 2nd and 3rd place

    • Players will complete in a 3-minute time limit Tetris match.

  • Wii Sports: Homerun Derby - Wii

    • Saturday, July 27th @ 7:30 PM

    • Highest scores win 1st, 2nd and 3rd place

    • Players will compete against each other for the most distance covered through homeruns.

Arcade Tournaments

    • Saturday, July 27th @ 6:30 PM

    • Highest scores win 1st, 2nd and 3rd place

Table Top Tournaments​

  • Hungry Hungry Hippos 

    • Saturday, July 27th @ 4:00 PM

    • 4 player versus, double elimination

    • 4 players will compete to nab the most points (marbles) than the other players.

    • Top two players move to the next round​

  • Disney Lorcana TCG

    • Saturday, July 27th @ 5:30 PM

    • Disney's Lorcana Tournament
      Format: 30 minutes, Best of One
      Rounds: Less than 8 players, 3 rounds | Less than 16 players, 4 rounds | More than 16 players, 5 rounds with top cut (8)
      Rules: 60 card minimum, 2 ink max, questing to 20, electronics approved
